CALLING ALL BLOGGERS
Perhaps
nothing is as popular on the Internet right now as the “Blog”
or “Web Log.” Pretty much anyone can post
their own thoughts, opinions and diaries for literally the
whole world to see. Some of them are fascinating, some are
kinda wacky, and some are a flat out waste of time to read.
We
here at HurricaneNow are all about doing things better, so
our blogs are going to be what we think of as a “Blog
of Blogs.” That means we’ll have multiple
contributions from various people with interesting perspectives.
But in addition, we’ll be editing our blogs to make
certain that if you read our blog page you will get the most
compelling, most succinct and meaningful thoughts and comments,
throughout this hurricane season.
Rob
Hess, an award-winning television news producer and former
national assignment editor at CNN will be editing our “Hurricane
Blog of Blogs” and is always looking for someone who
has something interesting to say about storms.
If that’s you, drop Rob an email at rob@hurricanenow.com and tell him a little bit about yourself…where you
live, your background, your perspective on hurricanes and
what you’d like to blog about. He’ll
give you some thoughts about what he’d like to hear
but you’re really free to submit anything you like.
We
like to think of the blog as having your own newspaper column,
complete with that little head shot at the top so readers
get to both see you and know you a little bit. So, along with
your blog we’d also love to have you send us a picture
which we’ll post. The HurricaneNow Blog is your
chance to have that column you always wanted and your chance
to have all of us read it. We look forward to hearing
from you. |
